How to Use
- Roll your cake pop/cakesicle dough to 16 mm thickness.
- Lightly dust the inside of the cutter, your work surface, and the indent plunger with cornstarch to help prevent sticking and make releasing the dough easier.
- Place the cutter over the rolled dough and press firmly to cut the coffin shape.
- Leave the cut dough sitting on your work surface inside the cutter. Place the indent plunger over the dough and gently press straight down to create the recessed cavity for your filling.
- Using that same plunger, gently push the shaped and indented dough out of the cutter.
- Add your desired filling into the recessed center, being careful not to overfill.
- Create the lid: Roll a small piece of dough approximately 3 mm thick and use the same cutter to cut a second, flat coffin-shaped piece.
- Add a small amount of chocolate to the outer edge of the filled coffin-shaped cakesicle.
- Place the thin coffin-shaped dough piece over the filled cavity to create the lid and enclose the filling.
- Using a toothpick or cookie scribe, gently seal the outside edges where the lid meets the cakesicle. This helps ensure the lid is properly sealed and prevents the filling from escaping during dipping.
- Allow the chocolate around the edges to set completely.
- Once sealed and set, insert your cakesicle stick and dip in chocolate or your preferred coating. Decorate as desired.
Pro Tip: The cornstarch helps the dough release cleanly from the cutter. The indent plunger serves two purposes: it creates the recessed cavity while the dough is still sitting in the cutter, then gently pushes the finished cutout out of the cutter.
Dough Weight and Cutout Dimensions
Using 16 mm dough, the basic coffin cutout with the recessed cavity weighs approximately 1.4 oz, depending on the dough consistency.
Adding a thin coffin-shaped lid made from approximately 3 mm dough brings the finished dough weight to approximately 1.5 oz or more, depending on the thickness of your lid.
These weights are for the cake dough only and do not include the filling or chocolate/candy coating. The final weight will vary depending on the filling and coating used.
The approximate dimensions of the dough cutout are:
• Height: approximately 2 inches
• Widest point: approximately 1.75 inches
• Recess depth: approximately 10 mm (just under 1/2 inch)
The approximate weight and dimensions may vary depending on dough consistency, the thickness of your lid, and the amount of filling used.
What Makes This Cutter Different?
The recessed design lets you create a filled cakesicle without having to hollow it out by hand.
Simply cut your coffin, use the indent plunger to create the cavity, add your filling, and cover it with a thin coffin-shaped dough lid. Seal the edges with a little chocolate, allow it to set, and your stuffed coffin is ready to dip and decorate.
Using the same cutter for both the base and the lid makes it easy to create a properly fitted top for enclosing your filling.
Tips for Easier Release
• Lightly dust your dough, cutter, work surface, and indent plunger with cornstarch before cutting.
• Make sure your dough is the proper consistency before cutting.
• Gently press the indent plunger straight down to create the recessed cavity.
Care Instructions
• Wash before first use.
• Hand wash only using warm water and mild dish soap.
• Use a soft-bristled brush to clean detailed areas if needed.

• Gently rub the stained area with a soft cloth or sponge.
• Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Printed using high-quality food-contact PLA.
While PLA is considered food-safe as a material, 3D printed products contain microscopic layer lines. As with all 3D printed baking tools, we recommend washing thoroughly before and after each use.
